I live in the Netherlands in which it's a challenge to find a really dark sky for stargazing and nightsky photography. But I am lucky to live in a reasonably less populated and therefor darker region, so I don't need to travel a lot to be able to enjoy the nightsky. This results in some nice images which I took in my backyard and it surroundings. But there are also some images taken on other locations in which case it will be mentioned. I use primarily my Nikon D90 with various lenstypes from 10mm to 400mm.Some images are shot through a refractor telescope, because its a static and manual handled piece of equipment it's a challenge to shoot reasonable images.
